JOSEPH MARANGU SHEM

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected demise of Mr. Joseph Marangu Shem, which occurred on 5th August 2024.

Until his death, Mr. Marangu was an Assistant Registrar and a dedicated employee of Chuka University.

He was a loving husband of Lucyline Kagendo Marangu. Son of the late Shem M’Muga and the late Tabitha Igoji M’Muga of Muthenge village, Muthenge Location, Mitheru Ward, Maara Sub-county. Devoted father of Terry Kendi Marangu and Mack (Shem) Muthomi Marangu.

He was a brother of Zakayo Mwiandi, the late Samuel Njue, Rose Ithima Rufas, Stephen Njeru, John Njagi, David Njiru,Titus Njagi, Salome Muthoni Ndeke, Julia Kaari Micheni, Ezekiel Nyaga and Deborah Karimi Gitari.

He was the son-in-law of the late Ntwiga Mukangu and the late Bridget Njeri. Brother-in-law of James Njeru, the late Ezekiel Kariuki, the late Benson Mbaabu, Bernard Nyaga and the late Eric Munene Ireri.

He was a loving uncle and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves Chogoria Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 15th August 2024 at 8.30 a.m.

The funeral service will be held at PCEA St.Johns Church, Kimuchia and thereafter burial at his home in Kimuchia Village, Chogoria Location, Maara Sub-county.

There will be a memorial service at Chuka University on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, Room BSRC 306 starting at 2.00 p.m.
