JOSEPH OTIENO MALO

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Prof. Joseph Otieno Malo which occurred in the late hours of Tuesday, 12th June 2024 while receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.

Son of the late Shadrack Malo and the late Loise Malo of Kango, Ombeyi Sub Location, Muhoroni, Kisumu County. Son-in-law of the late Arne and Maj Andersson of Borlange, Sweden.

Husband of the late Inger Margareta Malo. Father of Arne Shadrack Malo (Stockholm, Sweden) and Lois Maj Malo (Stockholm, Sweden). Father-in-law of the late Gbassay Bangura.

Grandfather of Dalvin Malo Bangura, Andre Malo, Leon Malo, Kayla Malo, Henry Madara and many more.

Uncle of Carl Madara, Lois Atieno, the late Shadrack Madara, George Owiti (US), Mary Oduor, Jane Soita, the late Sarah Otieno, Lois Nyambogo, Sue Wanzala (UK), Winnie Wanzala (USA), the Late Jackie Wanzala (UK), Joe Wanzala (US), Maria Wanzala (South Africa) among others.

Brother of the late Mark Nyambogo, the late Dora Oyiengo, the late George Okwama, the late George Owiti, Catherine Wanzala (South Africa), Moses Malo (UK), the Late Henry Madara, the late Atieno, the late Carl Omondi, Tom Malo & James Malo.

Family and friends will meet at Uhuru Highway Lutheran Church from: Tuesday 18th June to Thursday 20th June 2024 from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
