Joseph Otieno Omija, SSP, MBS

It is with deep sorrow that the Deputy Inspector General-Kenya Police Service announces the sudden death of Mr. Joseph Otieno Omija, SSP based at Kenya Police Service Headquarters Directorate of Operations, Vigilance House which occurred on 25th April, 2020 at Aga khan Hospital Nairobi after a long battle with Cancer.

Son of the late Peter Omija Owidh and the late Maria Odend Omija. Step son of Rosebella Ogot. Loving dad of Brian Otieno, Maxwell Otieno, Babra Adhiambo, the late Enock Owidh and Aubrey Marie. Brother of the late Mildred Adhiambo, Angeline Akinyi, Emily Adhiambo, Anastaciah Aluoch and Chris Adikiny. Step brother of the late Anyango, Patriciah, the late Benedict, the late Apondi, the late Francis and the late Ernest. Nephew of Sr Esther, Ochieng, Sara, the late Abonyo, the late Susan among others. Cousin of Margaret, Rosemary, Augustine, Wilton, Onyango among others. Brother-in-law of the late Fredrick, the late Francis, the late Charles, Mary, Michael and Daniela. Uncle of Betty, Bonventure, Emily, Lilian, Judith, Kevin, David, Zakayo, Benard, Tonny, Angelica, Rosebel, Noe, Ian, Ethan among others.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital mortuary Nairobi on Friday 1st May, 2020 at 9:00 am. Burial will be held at his home in Burinda village, Burinda Sub-Location, Bujumba Location, Butula Sub-County, Busia County on 2nd May, 2020.
