JOSEPH OWINO OKUMU

We regret to announce the sudden demise of our brother Joseph Owino Okumu of the Office of the Auditor-General (Government of Kenya) which occurred on 5th February, 2022.

Beloved son of Peter Okumu Nyagar and the late Florence Olang’o Ayoo. Beloved husband of (Elizabeth Atieno Owino). Father of (Evelyne Joy Owino and Christian Peter Owino). Loving brother to Reuben Okumu, Wicklife Omondi Okumu, Joyce Odundo, Jane Perez Okumu.

First cousin to Oscar Otieno, Samson Okumu, Caroline Okumu, Carey Odiwuor, Dan Onyango, Elly Ayoo Odhiambo, Edwin Okumu, Sylvina Okumu, Eunice Okumu, Charles Okumu, Christabel Sewe, Martha Okumu, Alex Okumu, Jackline Okumu, Erick Onyango, Reuben Okumu, Charles Omondi, Edwin Patroba, Emily Achieng, Wilfred Otieno, Jim Owiti and Kelvin Omondi.

Son-in-law to Mr. Michael Okello and Jenipher Auma Okello. Nephew to the late Dickson Joseph Owino Nyagar, the late Hesbon Odhiambo, the late Okumu Henry Okumu, Jared Okumu, Esau Agola Ndeda (Office of the Auditor-General), Professor Jared Hera Ndeda (JKUAT), Asha Ouko, Maurice Ndeda, James Ayoo, the late Eunice Akinyi Odida, Mama Dolly Okumu, Mama Jenipher Odindo Okumu, the late Phylis Lusasi, Mama Leokadia Milongo, Mania Mary Ouko, Mama Rose Ndeda, Mama Hellen Apondi, Mama Leah Aoko, Rose Ayoo and Lorna Aidi.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Mbagathi Way), on Friday 18th February, 2022 at 7.00am. There will be a Funeral service at Okenye ACK Church at 5:30pm on the same day followed by burial ceremony on the 19th of February 2022 at his father’s home (Mzee Peter Okumu Nyagar) in Okenye village, Rarieda Sub-County, Siaya County.
