It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Demise of the former Mayor of Nyeri Mr. Joseph Waitiki Ndegwa. The death occurred at Outspan Hospital on Wednesday 21/10/2020 following a short illness.

Son of the late Ndegwa Wahome and the late Hannah Murugi. Loving Husband of the late Rose Waguthi and the late Mary Wanjiru Waitiki.

Father of Jane Njeri (Nyahururu), Catherine Wangari (MBS), Veronica Njeri (USA), Samuel Ndegwa (NRB), Patrick Ndegwa (NYERI), Pamela Ndegwa (MBS), Wilson Ndegwa, the late Francis Ndegwa and the late David Kamau.

Brother of Dr. Duncan Ndegwa, late Chrispin Wahome, the late Victoria, Late Benjamin Githinji, late Betha, the late Zaphan Kariithi, the late Daniel Mathenge and the late Mwihungi and the late Peninah Ngima. Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Kirimara farm at 2:00 pm, Chorong’i home and K.K Restaurant- Standard street Nairobi from 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on Thursday 29/10/2020 at 8.00am. Thereafter, Prayers and burial ceremony will take place at 2.00pm, at his home Kirimara Farm next to Mt. Kenya Academy -Gamerock -Nyeri County.
