In acceptance of God’s will, we announce the untimely passing on of Josiah Omwenga, formerly a Retail Banking Officer at KCB Group, Kisii Branch, on 20th September 2024.

He was the second born son of Charles Nyamima Ogutu and Jane Nyamima. Brother of Nancy, Judy, and Geoffrey.

Husband of Felisters Kawera, father of Blair Omwenga and Jabril Mitch. Son-in-Law of Francis Ikotha and Isabella Kaimuri.

Brother In-law of Ray Kerubo. Nephew of Araka, Ngoge, Yuvinalis, Edward, the late Kamau, the late Joshua, the late Suruali among others.

Grandson of Sabina Gesare, the late Ogutu, Bagwasi, Mose, Bilhah Nyaboke among others.

Cousin of the Moseti’s, Erick’s, Ogutu’s, George, Japheth, Ezna, Moturi, Dennis, Josephine, Yunia, Moraa, Omwenga, Nyamamba, Okindo, Judy, Salome, Zipporah among others. Uncle of Britney, Shirleen, Winnie among others.

The cortege leaves Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Morgue today on 2nd October 2024

The burial will take place at his parents’ home in Omogonchoro, Manga Sub-county, Nyamira County on 3rd October 2024
