JOYCE NYAMBURA
The Chairperson, Board of Directors, Director General and members of staff, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), regret to announce the death of Ms. Joyce Nyambura who passed away on Wednesday 5th January, 2022 at Kenyatta National Hospital. Nyambura, as she was fondly known to her friends was a member of staff at KEMRI’s Centre for Microbiology Research (CMR) in Nairobi.
She was a loving wife to Isaac Joseph Muthotho and mother to Rosalind Wanjiku (Nginda Girls), James Ngugi and Sharon Muthoni (Benezer Academy). The late Nyambura was a daughter to Stephen Githuto and Lydia Njoki Githuto. She was a sister to the late Herman Githuto, Daniel Githuto, James Githuto, the late Johnson Kairibu and Jane Wairimu Githuto (Maasai School). She was a daughter-in-law to James Ngugi and Rosalind Wanjiku Ngugi.
A requiem mass will be held at St. Joseph The Worker Cathedral in Ngong on Tuesday, 11th January 2022 at 2.00 pm.
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru on Wednesday, 12th January 2022 morning for a funeral service at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Magu, Nakuru County, followed by burial in Magu later on in the day.
