MISSING YOU DAD

The word “Father” is a beautiful memory deeply engrained in all of us. It brings to life the love, respect, care, support and sacrifice that you personified. Remembering you on this day which marks the first anniversary since you joined the choir in heaven, remains a great agony and a feeling that can’t be described with mere words. As a devoted husband to our dear mum, the gap you have left can never be filled! She remains wounded but never shaken, because that’s what you taught her over the love-filled years that you shared with her. As a caring father to your loving sons, you are still a hero they will always take pride in learning from your deeds and steps. As an affectionate father to your beloved daughters, you will always be the yardstick for their interactions and relations, since you introduced them to everything they continue to practice. As a doting grandfather, your grandchildren have so much to learn of how great their grandfather was and you can be sure that, despite your absence, the pictures, the awards as well as the many souvenirs that you came home with, will be a constant reminder that it is in their blood to achieve excellence.

As a respectful son to our grandmothers, you are greatly missed. Your absence left in them an emptiness that is not only excruciatingly emotional but also very personal — just as it is to all of us!

Our dear Dad, here we are, having to pen down a message to commemorate the times we spent together… days that slowly, painfully turned into months and now a year has ticked by without laying sight on a great, selfless man we all love but have had to learn to live without!
