It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Kennedy Akoko Were on the 24 th of August 2024 at Avenue Healthcare Nairobi, following a sudden illness. He was formerly an employee of The National Treasury – Pensions Department.
Son of the late Silpa and Arkipo Were of Kawuor Kogeno, Kambuya Sub-location in Central Karachuonyo Location.
Loving husband of Carolyne Janet Achieng and the late Ruth Atieno Okello.
Father of Brian, Evans, Collins, Bob, George, Ruth, Idah. Brother of Elisha, Carren, Judith, Mary, Alice, Benson and the late Dora. Asha and Teresa.
Brother In-law of Asenath, Jackline, Emilly, Caroline, Esther, Seline, Christine and the late Beatrice, Rose, Beryl, Beaty Patrick, Dan, Victor, Omuga, the late Philip and others.
Son in-law of Okelo, the late Joyce Okelo, Christopher Oungu and the late Gladys Adino. Grandfather of Elon Miles Akoko.
Family and friends meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements from 5.00pm at Pronto Restaurant, Nairobi.
The cortege will depart Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home Kahawa West on Thursday 12th September 2024 at 11.00am to Kisumu by air, converge at Robert Ouko estate for prayers and procession then to Kendu Bay for an overnight stay.
The burial will be on 13th September 2024
