LAY CANON EDWIN OTIENO ALIWA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Lay Canon Edwin Otieno Aliwa of Sakwa Maranda, which occured on 15th August 2024.

Husband of the late Elsie Magotsi Aliwa. Father of Sally, the late Wycliff, Lynn, Bethuel, Cynthia and the late Ben. Father in law of Arthur and Wanja. Son of the late Jeremiah Aliwa and the late Susan Aliwa, Elizabeth and the late Mary Aliwa.

Nephew of the late Philemon Atieno and Pricilla Auma Atieno. Son in law of Robert and Ramona Magotsi (both deceased).

Brother of Nelson Owuor, Mary Akinyi Okongo, Joab Okeyo, Audia Awuor (all deceased) Auma, Akomo, Millicent, Otieno, Amondi, Josphine amongst others.

Cousin of Shem, Kepher, Florence, Karen, Osoro, Oginga and Edwin Anyango amongst others.

Brother in-law of Lydia Ketoyo, Grace Akwabi, Walter Magotsi (deceased) and David Magotsi, Ayub (deceased) and Tom Okongo (deceased). Uncle of Steve, Claris, Sella, Erick, Dennis, Kevin, Effie, Omondi, Nelivet and Tom amongst others. Grandfather of many.

Meetings are being held daily at his Nairobi residence in Humayun Estate – House No. 145 in South C from 5.00 pm and at his Sakwa Maranda Home.

A fund raising is scheduled for Tuesday 20 th August 2024 at Humayun Estate, South C starting from 5.00 pm to offset Hospital Bills and funeral expenses.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu on Thursday, 22nd August 2024 at 09.00 a.m. for a service at A.C.K. St. Stevens Maranda at 2.00 pm.

Burial will take place on Friday, 23rd August 2024 from 10.00 am in Sakwa, Maranda.
