LAY CANON PROFESSOR NEPHAT JUSTIN KATHURI

With profound sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Lay Canon Professor Nephat Justus Kathuri, which occurred on 19th June 2023.

Loving husband to Naomi Wambugi Kathuri.

Son to the late Justus Njagi Gucanga and the late Julia VVamugo. Son-in-law to the late Nebart Nyaga and the late Sera Runji.

Devoted father to the late Tabitha Wawira, Josiah Njogu, Joseph Kinyua, the late Baby Kathuri, and Reuben Njiru. Father-in-law to Yvonne Ateka and Alice Nyaga. Doting Grandfather to Aaron Mutari, Mathew Mung’ala, the late Zuri Wangai, Kara Kenia, and Kega Kendi.

He was a caring brother to Edith Wanjira, the late Aram Ndwiga, the late Crispin Njue, the late Miriam Muthoni, the late Weston Fundi, the late Nancy Rwamba and Eliud Nyaga. Brother-in-law to Reuben Njiru, the late Allan Mbogo, Onesmus Njagi, the late Grace Muthoni, and Jacob Munyi.

The cortege will leave Egerton University Funeral Home on Wednesday 28th June, 2023 at 8.30am, for a funeral service at ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd – Nakuru from 10.00am. Burial service will be held thereafter on the grounds of ACK St.Walstan’s Church – Rongai from 1.30pm.
