It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Lay canon Teresa Akumu Olayo Nyar Ogolla. Mama went to be with her maker on Wednesday 25th March 2020 after a short illness at Eldoret memorial Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Wellington Olayo.

Loving mother of the late Joan and Tom Okong’o, Florence & Henry Khalende, the late David & Veronica Bwire, Bertha & John Omuke, James & Jemima Ogolla, Gracemary & Nicholas Karira, Caroline & Martin Mudambo, Everlyn Apiyo & the late Murethi lmunde. Step mother of the late Ben, Bela, Susan, The late Martin (Kish), Joseph Wandera, Tom Okoth, Henry Banda, the late Robert, Angelina, Pastor Patrick Maloba, Beatrice, Bishop Adala, Dennis Wandeyi, Irene Olayo and Juliana.

Grandmother of Beryl, Wesley, Larry, David, the late Sergio, Roy & Linda, Ian, Judy, Tess, Anne, Daisy, David, Jerry, Marion, Favour, Tatenda, Angel, Divine, Natalie, Leon, Mwaniki, Subira, Sifa KJ, Emmanuella, Martina, Joanna, John Martin, Lawigaita and Oli and step grandmother of many. Great grandmother of Kitty, Noel, David, Verona, Janice, Maria among others. Sister of Walter Ogolla, Nerea, Stanley and Peterkins Ogolla. Aunt, cousin, teacher and friend to many.

Her body will be laid to rest on Monday March 30th 2020 at her home in Budalang’i, Busia County.

Lay canon, you fought a good fight, you finished the race, you kept the faith, now awaits you a crown of righteousness (2 Tim 4:7.8a)
