LEONARD MAINA MITHAMO

We regret to announce the passing of Leonard Maina Mithamo, aged 70, who peacefully departed on Wednesday, 7th August 2024. He was the beloved son of the late Reuben Mithamo and the late Esther Wambui.

Leonard was a son in law of the late Bonface Irungu and Josephine Njeri Irungu. Leonard was a devoted husband of Immaculate Metumi and a loving father of Esther Wambui Maina, Josephine Njeri Maina, and Reuben Mithamo Maina.

He was also a cherished grandfather of Carter Leo Kamau Njenga, Simon Leon Mwangi, Immaculate Liana Waruguru, and Esther Leona Metumi.

He was the dear brother of the late Christopher Njiri, the late Rose Wanjiru, the late Munene Mithamo, Gilbert Waiguru Mithamo, the late Njue, Purity Wamuyu, Moses Macharia and Arthur Mwaniki.

Leonard was a treasured uncle and friend of many. Loving brother in law of Moses Mbauni, Maina Kogi, Dorris Wanjiku, Rhoda Njeri, Elizabeth Wambui, Margaret Gathiru, Joseph Mwangi, Angelina Wanjiru and Mary Waithera.

Loving Father-in-Law of Paul Mwaura, Wanjiku Muchema, and Mervin Njenga.

Cousin of Solomon Munene, Reuben Njue, Wachira Mumbi, Njiiri

Waruru, Njiiri Ndegwa, Jimmy waiguru, Maina Mumbi, Kanguru’s Githae Kibui, Gathigia Gichuki among many others. Nephew of Cecilia Waiguru and Ngugi Maciu.

On Friday, 16th August 2024, Leonard will begin his final journey from Kenyatta Referral Hospital Funeral Home at 7:00 AM, proceeding to his home in Tigithi, Matanya, where he will be laid to rest.

Friends and family are gathering for meetings at his residence in Chokaa, New Njiru, from 06:00 PM. He will forever be in our hearts.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
