LIEUTENANT GENERAL (RTD) JACKSON MUNYAO EBS CBS
It is with great sorrow and sense of loss that we, the Mumina family, announce the untimely passing on of Lieutenant General (Rtd) Jackson Munyao, a former Vice Chief of General Staff of the Kenya Defence Forces on 21st July 2021.
He was a son of the late Thomas Mumina and the late Elizabeth Kalekye. Husband of the late Salome Munyao (Watuka, Wote), Doreen Munyao (Konza) and Winnie Munyao (Vota). Father of Angela Mutinda, Dr Thomas Munyao Junior, June Mutheu, Sheila Kalekye, Benjamin Nzioki, Irene Mueni, Lynda Mwende, Gloria Mwongeli, Jeremy Mwendwa and Catherine Mutheu. Father in Law to Dr Diana Kemunto; grandfather of Zola and Gabriel.
He was a brother of the late Muithya, late Ezekiel, late Tabitha, late Priscilla, late Phyllis, late Peter, Anna Makau, Regina Mukulu, Mackenzie Mumina, late Mbuvi and Duncan Musyoka. Uncle of Ndambuki Muithya, Kavoo Anthony, Mumina Musau, Mumina Peter among many others.
There will be a memorial service at the AIC Plainsview, Nairobi South B, 30th July 2021, 10:00 AM.
Burial will be 3rd August 2021, Watuka Village, Wote, Makueni County, starting at 11:00 AM; cortege’s departure from Montezuma Funeral Home, Machakos, 07.00 AM. Both services will be conducted in strict observance of the COVID-19 protocols and will be live-streamed.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the Old T-Tot Hotel, Machakos, 26th – 30th July 2021, 5.00 PM for funeral arrangements.
