It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we wish to announce the passing on of Loise Wanja Gacheru Joakim (Mama Mary) of Baricho Town, Kirinyaga West, Kirinyaga County on 3rd July 2020 after battling with long illness.

Daughter of the late Kamicha Mutugi and Gathoni Kamicha. She was the loving wife of Joakim Gacheru Daniel. Loving mother of Rose Catherine Wanjiku, Mary Muthoni, Daniel Wanjohi, John Murimi, Cosmas Mureithi, Stephen Muriuki, Peter Mugweru, Dr Michael Mutugi and Martin Murathi. Sister of Faith Njoki and Pauline Merl Kamicha. Aunt of Charles Mwangi, Steve Mureithi, Faith Kahero, Mary Muthoni and Mary Gathoni. Mother-in-law of Lawrence Kariuki, the late Charles Njeru, the late Josephine, Anne Wambathi, Winfred Wamaitha, Jennifer Wanjiru, Josephine Mutswenje, Celine Njeri and Ann Wambui Mureithi.

Grandmother of Sammy Kariuki, Joakim Kariuki, Moses Kariuki, Victoria Mukami, Charity Mukami, Joseph Macharia, Joakim Muthii, Purity Nyakio, Kelvin Karani, AnnStella Njeri, Njoki and the late Geoffrey, Kelvin Gacheru, Gabriel Ngani, Carol Wanja, David Gacheru, Adrian, Ashley Wanja, Brian Gacheru, Vivian Wanja, Flavian Mbiani, Dan, Elmer, Eugene, Emmanuel, Mitchelle, Kimberly, Elmel Gacheru, Jeremy, lan and Lulu Nungari. Great grandmother of Teresia, Lewis, Maxwell, Faith Wanjiku, Caleb Murimi, Claire Wanjiku and Nathan Kariuki.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 3:00pm at her residence in Baricho Town, Kirinyaga for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Kibugi Funeral Home on Friday 10th July 2020 at 9:00am.Thereafter funeral mass and burial will be conducted at her family home near Baricho Town, Kirinyaga County from 11:00am.
