Lucia Wangui Munene

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lucia Wangui Munene of Free Area, Nakuru after an illness bravely borne.

Wife of the late Munene Muruguru. Daughter of the late Kabu Ributhu and the late Jane Njeri. Mother of the late Francis Mungai and the late Ann Wambui, the late Godfrey Ndichu, Janet Njeri and Duncan (Scotland), Nduta and Chiera(Kiamunyi, Nakuru), Christine Nyokabi (Scotland), Felistus Njoki (London), Wanjiru and Paul (Manchester). She was also mother of Felistus, Itugi, Nduta, Wambui, Maina (all of Nairobi), Wairimu and Ngugi (both of Bungoma). Sister of the late Wakuru, the late Njogu, the late Kamau, Nyokabi and Wanjiru.

Daughter-in-law of the late Muruguru and the late Muthoni wa Hehu. Sister-in-law of the late Nduta, the late Itugi, Wanjiru, the late Njoroge and Ngugi. Grandmother of Munene and Josephine, Sammy and Dorcas, Kui and Tonny, Lucia and Sam, Linda, Ian, Mose, Natasha, Laquette, Bill, Ryan, Braeden and Brian. Aunt of the Chuaggah’s, ltugi’s, Purko’s, Njoroge’s, Ngugi’s,Wakuru’s, Kamau’s, Ributhu’s, Gathe’s and Mungai’s.

Her body is lying at PNN funeral home in Nakuru. The cortege leaves PNN Funeral Home on 17th March, at 8am for a funeral service and thereafter burial on the same day at Mangu, Nakuru.
