LUCY NJERI WAMBUGU

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of our beloved Lucy Njeri Wambugu.

Daughter to the late Daniel Gachini and the late Naomi Gathoni. Daughter-in-law to the late George Ngunjiri Wambugu and the late Susan Wairimu Nginjiri.

Beloved wife to James Hillary Wambugu (Former Director City Inspectorate, Nairobi). Cherished mother to Susan Asembo, Naomi Wachira and Mary Wambugu. Mother-in-law to Kevin Asembo and Wachira Muthui. Loving grandmother to Ahadi, Gakenia, Annabelle, Kena and Toria.

Sister to Maryanne Muringe, The late Patrick Wachira, John Maimba, The late Jesse Macharia, Winnie Wanjiru, Catherine Njoki.

Sister-in-law to Margaret Wangui, Mary Njoki, Charles Mundia, Lucy Wamuyu, Jane Wanjiku, Joyce Gathoni, Beatrice Waguthi, Robert Munene and Leah Wanjiru. She was a dear aunt, cousin, mentor and friend to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting in Nairobi at CITAM Woodley on Tuesday, 30th May 2023 at 5.30pm, Thursday, 1st June 2023 at 3.00 pm and Friday, 2nd June 2023 at 5:30pm.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, 5th June 2023 in Nairobi at CITAM Valley Road from 10.00am followed by the burial later that day at the family home in Ngong, Matasia.
