LUCY NYAKIO KARANJA

Announcement is made of the passing on of Lucy Nyakio Karanja of Karanjee Estate Limuru. She is the wife of the late James Karanja.

She was the fourth born of the late Gitau Kiburi and the late Wanjiru wa Kamau.

Her siblings were the late Hanna Wanjiku, the late Stephen Waweru, the late Elizabeth Wambui, Dennis Kamau and the late Peter Muigai. 

Mother of Teresia Wanjiru, the late Agnes Wangui, Virginia Mumbi, Joseph Waweru, Hannah Wanjiku, Jane Njoki, Eng. Francis Gitau (Director General- Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority- NaMATA), Elizabeth Wambui and the late Eunice Wacuka.

She is the grandmother of many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 

Preparatory meetings are being held in her home at Limuru at 4.00pm and All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 5.00pm. 

The cortège will leave Montezuma Mortuary along Mbagathi Road, at 8.00am, on Saturday 5th October 2024 for burial at the family farm in Rongai Olsirkon starting at 11.00am.
