LUCY WAMARWA MUCHIRI MUREITHI

22nd September, 1950 – 25th October, 2021

It with profound sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Lucy Wamarwa Muchiri Mureithi (Mwarimu), on Monday 25th October, 2021, after a long illness.

Devoted wife to Dr Christopher Job Muchiri Mureithi. Beloved Mother to Martin Mwangi Mureithi, Anne Nyawira Mureithi, Mercy Wanjiru Mureithi and James Muriithi Muchiri. Mother-in-law to Gladys Moraa Mureithi. Grandmother to Thiga Muchiri, Unika Muthoni, Tanya Mutave and the late Graca Muthoni.

Daughter to the late Elijah Kithaiga Kibuchi, the late Cecily Wagicugu Kithaiga and Nancy VVambui Kithaiga. Sister to Florence Nyaguthii Watene, David Wachira, Faith Wamarwa and Geoffrey Maina. Sister-in-law to Simon Watene, the late Monica and Ezekiel Muchira, Elizabeth Munene and the late Alphonse Munene, the late Josephat Mwai and Faith Mwai, Joel and Lucy Muriuki, Eliud and Leah Mwai.

Relatives and Friends are meeting for daily prayers at her Fairacres Road residence from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Kaguyu Farm, Kirinyaga County.

The cortege leaves Mater Misericordiae Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 2nd November, 2021, at 7:00am, for the Requiem Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Lang’ata South Road – Karen, at 9:00am, followed by interment at Kariokor Crematorium, at 2:00pm.
