It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Lucy Wangari Maina (Damama).

Daughter of Peter Waweru and Hannah Murugi. Dear wife of David Maina Macharia (Damama Logistics). Loving mother of Stella Wambui (Technical University), Faith Murugi (Jkuat), Mitchell Wanjiku (Josnah Academy) and Sammy Macharia (Camel Catholic Academy). Sister of Patrick Wang’ondu (Mombasa), Jesse Mwangi (Niyumiririe), Mary Wangeci (Nairobi), Wilson Mbuthia (Nyeri) and Beth Wanjiku (Nairobi). Sister-in-law of Beatrice Guandaru (Ziwani Boys), Wanjiku Macharia (Ngano), Joseph Gitahi (Kerwa), Esther Kaguamba (Kinunga), Leah Wangwiti (Nakuru), Julius Theuri (Damama Logistics), Agnes Macharia (Kawangware), Peter Mwangi (Nyandarua County), Richard Wachira (Ngano), Wanjiru Macharia (Eldoret), Paul Mureithi (Damama Logistics), the late Lydiah Mureithi (Nyeri), late Annastacia Kihara (Dandora) and late Hannah Wangari (Nairobi). She was aunt and a friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Utawala Estate, Wangari Mathai Avenue, Tripple O Hotels Utawala Along Eastern By Pass and K.A.G Buruburu Road as from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday 30/09/2020 at 7:00am and thereafter a burial service at her home in Njabini-Munyaka, Gathara Ward, Nyandarua County.
