It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Lucy Wanjiru Gitau.
Daughter of the late Kinyanjui Wanjama and the late Milcah Njambi. She was the cherished wife of Joshua Gitau Gacengeci.
Mother of Gertrude Njoki, Catherine Njambi and Andrew Kuto, Dr. Ruth Wangui and Maurice Deya, Margaret Wairimu and Philip Isaboke, Elizabeth Mukuhi and Francis Njiraini, Chistopher Njoroge and Michelle Wairimu, Paul Kinyanjui and Mary Wangui.
Grandmother of Ivy Wanjiru, Renee Wanjiru, Terri Jebet, Collin Kipkemoi, Pendo Shekaina, Edward Waichinga, Angelina Nyaguthii, Lwanda Jawar, Hekima Arthur, Ryan Karanja, Manuel Isaboke, Hera Adier and Malachi Luka.
Sister of the late Wanjama, the late Njoki, the late Mwangi, the late Njangiru, the late Wangui, the late Mugo, Kamau and Monica Wakonyo.
Sister-in-law of the late Ruth Chemnjor, the late Peninah Mukuhi, Peris Karanja, Dr. David Gacengeci (USA) and the late Sammy Gacengeci. She was a dear aunt and friend to many.
The requiem mass will be held on Wednesday 30th October 2024 at St.Veronica Catholic Church, Syokimau at 10.00 a.m.
Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at Langata Cemetery, Nairobi at 1.00 p.m.
“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”

Dear family and friends to Mrs Lucy Wanjiru Gitau, I send my condolences to you as you face this times of agony. The pain of loosing your loved one can not be exterminated by words.
2 Corinthians 1:3,4 God is the God of all comfort and He comforts us in all our situations we face in life. Being God of comfort He assures us that it is his desire for us to be reunited with our dead loved ones “John 5:28,29 the hour is coming in which all those in memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”
