LYDIA ANINDO SHIKUMO

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Lydia Anindo Shikumo, wife of Joseph Angulu Shikumo. Mother of Dorothy Shikumo-Mbuthia, Edith Shikumo and Edgar Shikumo. Mother-in-law of George Mbuthia and Catherine Okumu. Grandmother of Mugo, Njeri, Andayi and Baraka.

She hailed from Wanakhale Luanda, Vihiga County. She was the daughter of the late Rev.Habil Olembo and the late Rev. Josephine Olembo.

Sister of the late Samuel Olembo, the late Prof. Reuben Olembo, the late Johnstone Olembo, Christine Wakhu, Dr. Sarah Olembo, Dr. Norman Olembo, Prof. Jotham Olembo, Aggrey Olembo and the late Evans Olembo.

Daughter in law of the late Harritone and the late Joyce Mbayi Shikumo of Khwisero, Kakamega County.

She was sister-in-law of the late Prof.Norah Olembo, the late Florence Eshiteti, the late Jephrice Azangalala, Raphael Shikumo and Henry Shikumo.

She was also sister-in-law of Festus Azangalala, Fanuel Wakhu, Alice Shikumo, Gibson Shikumo and Wycliffe Omurana, the late Wilfred Shikumo, Fred Oyombe, Franklin Amboko, John Amboko, Edwin Amboko among others.

She was aunty to the Wakhus, Olembos, Akoyas, Ambokos, Akwabis in Wanga among others.

Cousin of Mulamas, Amukunes among others.

There will be a Fundraising on Saturday 22/06/2024 at the Family Home in Onyonka Estate, Langata, Kinari Court from 2.00p.m to help offset funeral expenses.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 25/06/2024 at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from 10.00 a.m.

Burial will be on Friday 28/06/2024 at Maraba, Kakamega County from 10.00 a.m.
