MABEL KANAGA MAKAKA

 1952 — 2022

The sun has set on a beautiful soul Mabel Kanaga Makaka has rested. She passed away on Friday, 21st January 2022 at the Mater hospital after a short illness bravely borne.

She was the wife to the Late Morgan Makaka and mother to Carolyne Lyona Newall, Martin Shizungane Makaka, Susan Afwandi Makaka, Oscar Mmbwanga Makaka, Harriet Isanjiri Nkwabi, Oliver Adira Makaka, Laura Kamula Kasyoka and Lewis Mutumbi Makaka.

She was the daughter to James Adira Kedogo and Susanna Afwandi Sambaya and a granddaughter to Manga Kedogo and Vera Kihuya.

A sister to Herman Adoga, Alex Inambiri, Rose Msimbi, Willie Ing’afu, Mary lramwenya, Peggy Aseyo, Dora Miroyo and Eros Imbosani.

She was a mother-in-law to Jeremy Newall, Emmanuel Nkwabi, George Martin Kasyoka and Emily Mutumbi.

Mabel was also a grandmother to Makaka Newall, Kanaga Newall, Morgan Makaka, Helen Kanaga, Declan Makaka, Stacy Mmbwanga, Shekinah Elmabel Nkwabi, Erin Mmbwanga, Chidi Prince Makaka, Ethan Mmbwanga and Ethan Mutumbi.

A Meeting for Worship in Thanksgiving for the Grace of God, as shown in the life of Mabel Makaka, will be held on Thursday, 3rd February 2022 at the Montezuma Chapel starting 10am.

Her cortege will be flown to arrive in Kisumu on Friday, 4th February 2022 at 10.30am and taken by road to her Rosterman home, for an overnight stay before burial on 5th February 2022.
