MACHARIA GICHOGU

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to glory of Mr. Macharia Gichogu (formerly of NAS Airport, Haco Tiger and Kenyatta University) on 23rd September, 2020 after suffering from an illness.

Son of the late Gichogu Kamwana and Wanjiku Gichogu. Brother to Marubu, Ndung’u, Njuguini, Nyambura, Wanjiru, Wanjira, Kabatha & Joyce, Mbugua Veronica, Njeri and Mugoiri. Beloved husband to Lucy Muthoni (RPK). Father to Medline Wanjiku (UAP Old Mutual), Gichogu Macharia (JKUAT) and Githongo Macharia. Grandfather to Muthoni.

Son in law to the late Bishop David Githongo and the late Fenster Waithera. Brother-in-law to Njuguna, Wahome, Wamae, Wambugu, Wanjiku, Nyambura and Wanjiru. Blessed with many nephews and many nieces.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at Unicity Mall Melia Café from 5pm to 7.00pm and also at his upcountry home Kambiti from 3.00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary Thika road on 2nd October, 2020 at 8:30 am. Church and burial service will take place at his home Kambiti, Makuyu location, Murang’a County.
