It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the demise of Mama Agnetta Odundo Ojienda of Gem Rae North Nyakach in Kisumu County which occurred on 29th May 2024 at Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu after a long illness.

She was the Daughter of the Late Mzee Joshua Okello and Mama Wilkister Okello of Wasare, Rang’ul North Nyakach.

Beloved wife of the Late Japuonj Christopher Ojienda Odayo.

Mother of Beatrice Okoko (Director East View Hotel), Dickson Ojienda, Sarah Ojienda (Principal, SA Lwanda Secondary), Eve Ojienda (St. Lazarus Comprehensive School), Silas Ojienda (Ewaso Nyiro South Dev Authority), Hon. Senator Prof. Tom Ojienda SC ROH, Seth Ojienda (Advocate) and Wilkister Ojienda (ODPP).

Co-wife of Peres Akinyi Ojienda. Step mother of Robert Ojienda (NLC), Dorine Ojienda (Advocate), Zephania Ojienda and Ebenezer Ajuoga Ojienda (KFS).

She was the Daughterin-law of the late Zephaniah odayo and mama Dorina osir.

She was the mother in law of Eng.Tom Okoko (Hodima Construction), Grace Ochieng, Sara Okoth, Dr. Ruth Aura Odhiambo (Advocate), Jacquelyn Katee Odhiambo (Advocate), Sona Okashaka (Advocate), Andrew Ombwayo (Advocate) and Janet Ouko.

She was the Sister of the Late Jason Mikoma, Enos Abondo, Shem, Esao, Gilbert, Gideon, Festo, Claudius, Joash, Florence, Matilda, Eucabeth and Pesila.

She was the Sister in-law of the Late Henry Agumbi, Gordon Okumu, Ajuoga, Otieno, Ogoda, Awino, Owuocha, Onyango, Bobi, Eng. Morris Chore, Odhiambo Apum, Onyango Apum, Omondi Oyare , Odipo Ongor, Dor, Beldina, Regina, Kezia, Acholla, Akoth, Lilian Chore, Beatrice, lorna, Mor, Awino, Onyango ongor, Amolo, Otuo, Omondi Apum, Daudi, Aketch, the late Dan Ongor, Ven. Canon Nick Oyare, Oluoch Oyare, Benard, Jasper, Omondi, Paul, Odhiambo, Hon. Niece of Mita Mita, Jona Nyadhi, Daudi Opanga, Zablon Kimiri, Jole Okong’o, Leo Aramba, Okong’o Onano, Richard Otura.

Grandmother of Eng. Steve Okoko, Dr. Stella Okoko, Brian Ochieng (Advocate,) Tracy Odhiambo (Capt), Joseph Ochieng, Night, Fidel Castro, Erick Ochieng, Betty, Francis, Dr. Brian Watta, Alicia, Faith, Crissy, Ruby, Richie, Lionel, Alex Christopher, Darryl and Angela.

She has also left 35 other Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Gem Rae Nyakach for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The burial date shall be communicated at a later date.
