MAMA CECILIA WAMBETI MUNYI

1947 – 2021

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Cecilia Wambeti Munyi, of Kangaru, Embu Municipality, Embu County on 28th February, 2021 at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.

Beloved Wife to the late Antony Munyi Murwareri. Sister to the late Justa Njura, Helena Difatha, Nicholas Njagi, Agnes Dishon and the late Patrick Njeru. Mother to Martin Njiru (Kabansora), the late Agatha Njoki (Koibatek), Regina Muthoni Munyi (Embu Level 5 Hospital), Francis Murithi Munyi (DCI) and Stephen Njagi Muriyi (Co-operative Bank). Mother in law to Angela Wanja,David Chesire, Fundi Kiriamburi, Daisy Munyi and Nellius Wanjiru.

Grand Mother to the late Tonny, Collins, Alvin, Ashley, Alex, Billy, Allan, Bryson, Christopher, Natasha and Bakhita.

Family and friends are meeting at Norwich Union Towers, Nairobi and her Kangaru home, Embu every evening for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Machakos on 9th March 2021 followed by a funeral service at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Kangaru at 11.00 am and thereafter burial at her home Kangaru village.
