MAMA CLEMENTINA ASHITAKAYA KWENA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Mama Clementina Ashitakaya Kwena, which occurred on 21 January 2022 in Kisumu.

Wife of the late Mzee John Kwena Arochi and daughter of the late Juma Amboka and Elizabeth Were.

Mother to the late Jennifer Akumu, Gertrude Maloba, the late Norah Oloo, Agnes Osendo, the late Gladys Amollo, Dr. Zachary Kwena and Carolyne Namatiro. Mother-in-law of Violet Kwach, John Wandia, All Kong’ani, Abdallah Anyembe, Jafred Omulama and Boniface Otieno.

Sister to the late Hellena Kundu, Mary Machengo, Christine Atikinyi and John Wakhu. Grandmother to Sydney, Stephanie, Stacie, Stanley, David, Leah, Abdalla, Ramadhan, Hossein, Sunday, Jamila, Ben, Kadogo, Prisca, Kennedy, Ekumba, Levy, Amere, Eunice, Mary, Pamela, Silas, Catherine, Elina, Mike,Andrew, Marita, Carolyne and Jessy.

The cortege will leave the Star Hospital Mortuary on Friday 28th January, 2022, at 10.00am for a requiem mass at 2.00pm at her Mayoni home and thereafter viewing of the body and overnight vigil awaiting interment on Saturday 29th January, 2022.

Clementina has fought a good fight, she has won the race & she has kept the faith.
