MAMA DORCAS TABITHA ADHIAMBO ODUOR

BORN ON 10TH OCTOBER, 1952 ~ DIED ON 17TH JUNE, 2024

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Dorcas Tabitha Adhiambo Oduor after a short illness at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Rubort Nyandiko and the late Magdalena Achola of Gem Kanyadet.

Daughter in law of the late Zakayo Osure Humwa and the late Paulina Ndiga Osure of Alego Gombe Komolo.

Wife of the late Aloys Oduor Osure of Gombe Komolo Village, Alego North, Siaya County.

Beloved mother of Jackline P. A. Omolo (J.P Omolo & Co. Advocates), Vincent Owino Oduor (Environmental Consultants Ltd), Victoria Achola Oduor (Aherinet Ltd), Robert Oduor (IITA), Meg Beryl Awino Oduor (Cosmos Ltd), and Emma Purity Oduor (TSC), and mother-in-law to Edwin J. Omolo (KPC), Monica Mwangi (Castles Architecture), Robert Owino (CISS), and Sandra Oluoch (Galana Energies).

She was the cherished grandmother to Anthony Omolo, Adrian Omolo, Dillan Oduor, Edward Oduor, Azelea Tabitha, Gweth Owino, Olivia Oduor, Ava Oduor and Robert Oduor Jr.

She was a sister of the late Charles Obara, the late Maria Juka, Teresia Ongowo, Thomas Waguma, sister-in-law of Jedidah Obara, Betty Waguma, the late Francis Dola Osure, the late Alphonce Onyango Osure, Henry Ochieng, Elizabeth Anyango Otieno and others.

Family and friends in Kisumu are gathering daily at Ojola from 2:00 PM until the burial. In Nairobi, daily meetings are being held at K’Dana Restaurant in KNH from 6:00 PM.

We will have a Harambee on Tuesday, 25 th June 2024 at All Saints Cathedral from 6:00 PM

The cortege will leave Kwe Funeral Home in Kisumu on Thursday, 27th June 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Yambo Church in Kisian, Kisumu, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

The burial will take place at her home in Ojola Village, Ojola Sub-Location, Kisumu County, on Friday, 28th June 2024.

Mama Dorcas’ departure leaves a void in our lives, but her spirit will forever inspire us to live with grace, compassion, and faith.

May she rest in eternal peace.
