MAMA ELDER SIBIA KEMUMA GITENYA “MAMA GENERAL”

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Elder Mama Sibia Kemuma Gitenya “Mama General” of Gesore Village, Nyamira Township, West Mugirango Constituency in Nyamira County who died after a long illness bravely borne.

She was wife to the late Mzee Nelson Gitenya Nyaberi “Omogusii”. Daughter of late Mayuya Moriasi and late Mama Boundi Kerubo Mayuya. Niece to the late Sagara, Atang’a and Bonuke, Sister-to Ochengo, Achoki, Nyachiro, Changamu, Onyancha, Paulo, Bernard, Bwari and Callen. Sister in-law to Ariaga, Daniel, Momanyi, Soteri, Gechemba, Misiara, Gitenya, (all late). Mum to Margaret Mamboleo, Susan Makori, Peter Nyaberi, Meshack Raini, the late joash Mongare, Gladys Moraa, John Morara, Linet, Hudson Kebaso and Irene Gitenya. Mother in-law to Stephen Mamboleo, Charles Makori, Judy Wangui, Eunice Raini, Esther Mong’are, Kennedy Mokaya, Stephen Alachu, Judith Nyakara, Hon Julius Marita.

Daily meetings are being held at her farm In Gesore Village, Nyamira Township.

The cortege leaves Nyamira County Level 5 Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 20th August 2020 for an overnight vigil at her Gesore Home followed by a memorial service and burial at her farm the following day 21st August, 2020.
