MAMA FREDA ACHOLA OMOLO

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mama Freda Achola Omolo which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Daughter of the late Musa and Leah Kadu of Kano, Kochogo. Wife of the late Samson Omolo of Gem Rae. Sister to Dina Oluoch, Charlies Lusi, Joshua Kadu, Isaka Kadu, Joel Ogalo, the Late Rebecca Awiti, late Joel Ogalo, late Sellah Achieng, late Daudi Oguta, late Daudi Odago among others. Mother to Eng. Simon Omolo (Koru), Dr. Lillian Kocholla (CEO. Homa Bay County Referral Hospital), Hon. Eve Obara (MP, Kabondo-Kasipul), Rosemary Okello (Geothermal Development Company), Moses Omolo (Regional Logistics Centre, Mombasa), Amos Omolo (Advocate), Grace Okara Omodho (Central Bank of Kenya) and Betty Omolo (Canada).

Sister in law to the late Blasto and Ruth Agembo, Walter and Nancy Odago, the late Elisha and Adah Ombere, late Laban and late Joyce Muga, Caren Kadu, Margaret Oguta, Jane Akeyo among others. Mother in law to Dr. Mary Otieno Omolo (Kenyatta University), the late Dr. Ombwa Kochola, the late Danish Obara, Samuel Okello, Dorothy Omolo, David Omodho and Ian Naumenko. Nyawana to the Odongos (Nyabondo), Kochollas (Kanyikela), Obaras (Kabondo), Okellos (Muhoroni), Odhunos (Songhor), Basiyes (Kaimosi), McAkechs (Rodi), Omodhos (Kajulu), and Naumenkos (Canada).

Family and friends are meeting at her Koru home for funeral arrangements. A fundraiser will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Nairobi Club at 5.30 p.m.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu at midday on Tuesday, October 27,2020 for a funeral service at 3.00 p.m at ACK St. Christophers Church, Koru.

Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28,2020 at her Koru home beginning 9 a.m.
