MAMA HELEN GEMMA ATAMBO

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved, Mama Helen Gemma Atambo, cherished wife of Col. (Rtd) Peter Gabriel Atambo.

Loving mother of Capt. Joseph Atambo, Veronica Eyakuze and Pantaleo Atambo. Mother-in-law to Kelvina Atambo, Aidan Eyakuze and Barbara Karwitha. Grandmother to Ellena, Jesse, Vanessa, Kerry and Aaila. Daughter of the late Mzee Pantaleo Mariga Otoro and the late Mama Maria Omariba Okundi.

Daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Joseph Sebastian Ooga, the late Mama Ann Kembene and Mama Sabina Ooga. Sister to Bartholomew Orangi, Sr.Veronica Mariga, Phidelis Ongangu, Apolinalis Nyandika, Dennis Magonga, Rebecca Okello, Pacifica Nyakweba, Anne Ogeto, Peter Rochine and Patric Erra.

Sister-in-law to Zacharia Omenyo, Julie Ongudi, Christine Machoka, Maggie Omenge, Triza Kanani, Dr. Charles Omanga, Petronilla Omboga, Dr. Anthony Moire, Anne Erikson, the late Pius Mung’ei, Jayne Mang’oa, Richard Ooga, Rose Nyamari and Joseph Ooga.

There will be a requiem mass on Wednesday, 20th October 2021 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, South C at 10am.

Burial will take place on Friday 22nd October 2021 at the family home in Matutu, Nyamira County.

Meetings are being held every day from 4pm to 6pm at St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church Hall in South C. Due to Covid restrictions only family members are meeting at the family home in South C.
