It is with humble acceptance and submission to God’s will that The Odenyo’s family wishes to announce the promotion to Glory of Mama Mary Akinyi Odenyo on 2 March 2021 after short illness.

She was the daughter to the late Mr and Mrs Ombogo. Daughter in law to the late Mr and Mrs Zakayo Obunga. Mama Mary was the wife to the late Eliud Odenyo Obunga. Mother to the late Caroline, Nancy, George, Violet and Lilian. Grandmother to Dave, Denzel, Kimberley, Euan, Myra, Dwayne,Alyssa and Adana and many others. Sister to Barack Ombogo and Rose Millie Odhiambo. Co-parent-in-law with Humphreys Onyango of Musanda, Muroro village. Sister-in-law to Alfred Owuor, the late Jekonia Omondi, late William Rapul, late Daniel Owino, late Roselida, Beldina, Lucy, late Marsela, Millicent, Dorina, Margaret, Florence, Jane, Mary Owino, Edwina and Mary Owuor. Aunty, dear friend and mentor to many.

Burial date will be on Friday 12 March 2021 in Uiwani Village, Ugunja sub county.
