MAMA MARY JALENY MANGITI

1928 – 2023

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of the Lite Dominicus Mangiti announce the passing to glory of our family matriarch, Mama Mary Jaleny Mangiti, which took place on 7th May 2023.

Daughter of the late Lawrenti Omburo and Julia Agola of Kochi Karamul, Homa Bay County.

Dedicated wife of the late Dominicus Mangiti of Wiga Village, Kanyada, Homa Bay County. Mother of Paul, Angel, Everest Odero (all deceased), John Owaga, Maurice Otunga, Eng. Peter Oganga Mangiti formerly Principal Secretary Planning, Sr. Celestine Mangiti Director St. Joseph Technical Institute Nyang’oma, Tobias Oracha, Pamela Mangiti. Step-mother to Elizabeth Aoko, Mathayo Opiyo, Anna Adongo, Veronica Achieng, Leokardia Lango, Joseph Okang, and Teresia Owino (all deceased).

Grandmother to Pst. Niece to Jaleny, Senior Chief Obonyo Ng’ong’o, and Mwombo Jonyo (all deceased).

Funeral preparation meetings are being held daily at her homestead in Wiga Village, Homa Bay and at the residence of Eng. Peter Oganga Mangiti in Karen.

There will be a harambee towards meeting funeral expenses at the Cardinal Otunga Plaza, John Paul II Hall 7th floor, Holy Family Basilica on Saturday 20th May, 2023 between 2.00pm and 6pm.

Mama will be laid to rest in her homestead, Wiga Village on Wednesday 24th May, 2023.
