MAMA PHYLLIS MWIMALI ODONGO

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the untimely death of Mama Phyllis Mwimali Odongo wife of Retired Chief Augustine Odongo of Matungu after a long illness.

Daughter of the late Fanuel Ong’ato, the late Juliana Ong’ato and Mama Emily Ong’ato and co-wife to Mama Bernadette Odongo. Mother of Bonventure Odongo, Patrick Lutta (Lutta & Company Advocates), Susan Juventia, Antony Makokha, Vitalis Lunyolo, Peter Phanuel Odongo, Hillary Odongo and Evans Makhulu, Clesencia Odongo, Michael Ndaliro, Beryance Odongo, David Odongo, Chris Odongo, Setry Augustine and Phobicca Eter.

Sister of the late Jessica, Peninah, Eunice, the late Esther, Dinah, Fridah, the late Gladys, Jedida, Phanice, Merciana and Chris. Aunt of Michael Osundwa, Phanuel, Gody, Lilian, Phyllis among others. Sister-in-law of the late Nicholas Shiundu, Bishop Getrude, Marcella, Valeria, Isaac Okumu, Mayor Patrick Sakwa, Walter Okoki and Gabriel Netia among others. Mother-in-law of Evelyne, Sarah, Truphena, Caroline, Rhoda, Winnie and Brian. Grandmother of Pantaleon (UK), Nick, Elvis (Canada), Nicholas, Martin, Cedric, Phyllis, Zillah, Kenneth, David, Steve, Dedan, Zawadi, David, Abigael, Angel, Belisha, Bidellia and Adi. Great Grandmother of Abigael Mwimali.

The burial ceremony which is restricted to close family members will take place on Saturday 20th June, 2020 from 9.00 a.m. in Chibanga village, Matungu, Kakamega County.
