It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mama Risper Angila Matalanga, which occurred on 8th January, 2024 in Nairobi.

Wife to the late Henry Nerima Matalanga, MBS, Retired Deputy Commissioner of Police. Co-wife to Ruth Matalanga, the late Jemimah Matalanga, Mary Matalanga and Maria Matalanga.

Daughter to the late Noah Misiko and the late Jeniffer Ashuma Omukongolo. A step-daughter to the late Wasumwa and the late Nabarua. Loving daughter-in-law to the late Japheth Nerima and the late Nerea Nabutu.

Loving mother to Patrick & the late Margaret, Rhodah & the late Saleh Wesonga, Helen & Samuel Omukoko, the late Steve Matalanga, Anne Matalanga and Victoria & Cornelius Mambili. Step-mother to Isaac, Njoroge, Sitati, Lydia, Anny, Eddy, Steve, Joan, Jeddy, Jeff, Tony, John, Kevin, Lorna and Reuben.

Cherished sister to the late Phanice, Repha, Lutta, Namatsi, Chebuche, Waluchio, Ambuya and Ashioya.

Aunt to Eli, Prisca, Benson, Auma, Aggrey, Sellah, Martha, Caro, Mary, Juma, Sammy, Noah, Ezekiel, Rodgers, Aswani, Eshimola, among others.

There shall be a major fundraising event on Saturday 27th January, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral from 4.00pm.

Funeral Church Service shall be held on Tuesday 30th January, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral from 10.00am.

Burial shall be held on Friday 2nd February, 2024 at her home in Eshihaka, Musanda Location, Mumias from 10.00am.
