It is with profound sadness & the humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of our Beloved Matriarch, Mama Rodah Olga Owayo on 4 th October 2024. 

Daughter of the late Chief Enos Ajode and the late Mama Peninah Gaya Ajode. Daughter In-Law of the late Mzee Abisalom Owayo and the Late Mama Keziah Nyang’ute.

Wife of Collins Yuda Ochieng Owayo. Mother of Jeffrey (Jeff), Alison, Keziah (USA) & Mellisa.

Step-mother of Peter (USA), the late Paul, Ruth, the Late Jane, Alfred & Junior (TZ).

Grandmother of Adrianne, Nina, Fiona, Alpha & Bryson and Andrae, Natalie, Calvin & Clarice.

Great Grandmother of Amira & Amari (Bobo).

Sister of Julia Omolo (USA), Clarice Owayo, Esther Mbajah (USA), Sylvia Oganga (USA) and the Late Damaris Ajode. An in-law, cousin, aunt & friend to many.

A Phenomenal Woman & Leader in the Church & the Community.

She will be laid to rest at her Lake View Villa-Karian Home in Homa Bay on 14th November 2024.

Friends & Relatives are meeting at Garden Square Restaurant, KICC, Nairobi from 3.00pm on Wed. 30th October 2024, Sun. 3rd November 2024,Wed. 6th November 2024 (Funds Drive).

As we remember Mama Rodah and celebrate her life, we find consolation in the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in John 11: 25, ‘‘He who believes in me will live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.’’
