The Oanda family is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother Mama Yucabeth Nyanchama Oanda of Riamakanda Village, Nyaribari Central, Kisii County which occurred on 18th Feb 2020 at Eldoret Hospital after a long illness bravely borne. Until her death, she was a Christian member of Riamakanda SDA Church.

Wife of the late Peter Maeta Oanda. Mother of Chris of Nairobi, Beatrice of Nairobi, Zipporah of Magena, Rose of Kiogoro, Caren of Keroka, Gladys of Ibacho, Euniah of USA, Peris of Kisii, Moronge of Kisii, the late Masita and Lynett of Nairobi. Co-Wife of Yunike Kerubo. Step Mother of John, Dinah, Teresa, Edward (Kampala), Richard, the late Mary, Yunes, Otwori, Fred, Michira, Jane (USA), Chad (USA) and Ombongi (USA). Mother-in-law of Christine, Edith, Silvia, Moses, James. Ondieki, Christopher, Ogero, Magutu, Maina, Otenyo, the late Nyamamba, Ondimu, Rebecca, Jennifer, Beatrice, Josphine, Emily, Edna, Evelyn and Muthoni. Daughter of the late Moronge & Banchiri of Mogweko. Sister of Ochwang’i and Mong’eri Moronge (Mogweko), Kemunto Makori (Gesabakwa), Alice Abuga (Migori). Step Sister and Bwamwabo of the Moronges of Mogweko and the Magatis of Ibacho.

She is survived by many Grand and Great Grandchildren in Kenya, Uganda and USA.

The body is at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary. The cortege leaves KTRH on 27th February at 10 am followed by a church service at her home on the same day. The funeral service will be held on 28th February at Riamakanda Village followed by burial at the same venue.
