It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of Mama Yunia Akinyi Oulu Kasera, retired Headmistress of Masala Primary School, Uyoma, on 15th May 2020 at Mater Hospital, Nairobi.

Daughter of Sgt.Andrea Opondo Olula and Mama Sarah Adhiambo Opondo of Mahondo, Butere. Loving wife of Sir Andronico Oulu Kasera of Asembo Ruma Village, Rarieda sub-county and a co-wife of Millicent Asewe, Devoted mother of Jane Akinyi, followed by Grace Anyango , Baby Allan, Jannet Apondi, Glenn Otieno, Risper Atieno, Isaac Sar, Mary Amondi, Ruth Achieng, Rael Akoth, Baby Sergeant Major Opondo, Herine Awino, Timothy Odhiambo, Samuel Oduor and Josephine Alipo. Stepmother of Ian, Rhoda, Omondi, Miriam, Mayor, Asman, Meshack, Aziz, and Lynn.

Sister of Eziekiel Maseno, Paul Oruya, Aggrey Onyango, Jackton Ochieng’, Moses Onyango, Andrew Ogutu and Risper Achieng’. Daughter in-law of Samuel Kasera and Mariam Bala Kasera. She was in-law of Dorcas Obonde, Rael Okoth, Anna Aol, Charles Kasera, David Owino, George Ouko, Elisha Mitto and Eng. Ishmail Kasera. Mother-in-law of Evans Amayo, Samuel Nyangweso, Susan Odinga, Sammy Mboya, Lorna Kiplagat, Josephat Kirumbi, Jared Obongo, Antonio Carta, Debra Shikuku and Luca Giove. In law of Esther Nyawanda, Jane Tumo, Grace Kirumbi, ldah Giove, Pasquina Caria, Mama Julia Odinga, Margaret Shikuku, Christabel Odongo Nyoloo and Salome Nyangweso.

Sister in law of Peninah Kasera, Mary Owino, Dane Ouko, Mary Mitto, Mary Olilo, Risper Ogutu, Doreen Ochieng, among others. Auntie of Pauline, Abby, Gary, Fred, Andrew, Jackline, Timna, Samuel, Peter, Patrick, Kennedy, Christine, Dhiambi, Leah, Apollo, Mary Aol, Alome Kasera, among others. Grandmother of 34 grandchildren, Nancy, Riziki, Vallary, Joy, Patience, Jackline, Kettie, Tina, Lynly amongst others, and great-grand mother of 23, Bradley, Everest, Hadriel, Jayden, Zahra amongst others.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi on the 28th May 2020 for Andronico Oulu Kasera’s home in Asembo for interment on 29th May 2020.
