We regret to announce the passing of Mwalimu Marcella Wakesho Mwashegha on 22nd December at Coast General Hospital after battling with cervical cancer and diabetes.

Daughter to the late George Mwashegha and the late Betty Majina Mwashegha.

Wife to William Mtana Mwahunga. Mother to Fleare Mtana and Lenox Mtana. Step-mother to Juma Mtana, Donald Mtana, Patience Mtana, Susan Mtana, Pendo Kalama, Rabeka Mtana, Byron Mtana, Stephano Mtana. Mother-in-Law to Eric Raudo and Marlene Ajando.

Sister to the late Mary Kwanya, the late Harry Sowa, the late Stanley Mwadilo, the late Elina Mashanga, the late Shallet Mjomba, Arrios Nyatta, Mark Mghalu, Matilda Mwaniala, the late Daisy Wanjala, the late Patience Konde (Taira Village), Stephen Sowa, Pauline Mjomba and the late Elizabeth Mghoi.

Sister-in-law to the late Rophus Shoboi Mwahunga, the late Jonas Kalania Mwahunga, Eunice Mwahunga, Josephine Mwahunga, Mtana M. Mtana, Julius Mwahunga, Juliet Mwahunga, Josphat Mwahunga Constance Mwahunga, Monica Mwahunga and Mary Mwahunga. Cousin and aunty to many.

Grandmother to Gaddiel, Francis, Philip and Aaliyah.

The cortege will leave Kilifi Mortuary on 7th January 2023 6:00am and thereafter funeral service and burial will be held at Roka Sub-location, Bora Upanga Village, Willie Canada’s Home at 10:00am.
