It is with gratitude that we announce and celebrate the resting of Mama Maria Akello Oguna. Wife of the late Mzee Oguna Ooko Oguna of Lukongo Village, South Wanga and mother of the late Joseph O. Oguna (Mista).

Ameri was daughter of Jad, Thomas Ogutu and Veronica Abom of Magoya, Ukalama Village, Uholo Sub-Location. Loving Mother-in-law of Gaudensia Apondi-Owango. Co-wife of Damaris Ogano. Her siblings were; the late Emmanuel Bwoga, Annah Adikinyi (Sakwa), Cosmas Okoth, (Ukalama & Kampala), Luka Oluoch, Teresia Athieno, Clement Mbanda (EAR&H & KPA), Regina Aor and Hardier Achola Musikoyo (All late). Lucia Obwong’ & Gaudensia Okumu. Lifetime cherished friend and dedicated grandma of Benard Oguna & Catherine Mutuku (KQ), Mary & Fred Opundo (Musanda), the late Christine, Mildred & Jack Ohanyo (Harare), Celestine, Francisca Ochieng (Brookside) & Jim Nyakomitta-APA-Group, Sylvia & Oar, Fredrick – Zambia & Grace (University of Lusaka), Michael (KWS) and Margaret Ndege (Amesi Kenya), Gabriel (Madagascar), Fredrick Sewe (Oxford UP), Stephen Nyongesa (Atlas Copco) among others.

Her final resting will be on Saturday 8th August at her farm in Lukongo Village.
