MARJORIE GATURI MBURU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Marjorie Gaturi Mburu on Tuesday August 27, 2024 after a short illness.

She was beloved daughter of the late Joram Gachiithire and the late Susanna Wariimi Joram.

Devoted wife of William M. Gathuru. Loving mother of David Gathuru Mburu and Joram Wachira Mburu.

Sister of Ishmael Munyi, JJ Nyaga, Philip Njuki, the late Njoki Kiiru, the late Wandiri Ngari, and Jane Gatavi.

Sister-in-law of Dorothy Munyi, Marigu Munyi,Abijah Nyaga, Dr. Hilda Njuki, David Kiiru, Peterson Ngari, the late Muriuki Gichuki, the late Elizabeth Wanjiru, the late Joseph Ndungu, Dorcas Wanjiku Nduati, the late Ann Watiri Macharia, the late Simon Ngugi, the late Henry Maina, the late Mary Njeri and Jane Muthoni Gathuru.

She was a loved friend, cousin, aunt, grandmother, mentor and Sunday school teacher to many.

Family and friends will meet for prayers and funeral arrangements at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi on Thursday September 5, 2024 at 5.30pm.

A memorial service will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 at 2.00pm, at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching Referral Funeral Home, along the Northern Bypass, on Tuesday September 10, 2024 at 7.00am, for burial at the family home in Gatanga, Murang’a County.
