MARTIN ESILABA IMENDE

With deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of Martin Esilaba Imende on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.

Martin was the loving husband to Lorine Atieno and father to Novella.

He was the son of the late Paul and Neddy Imende and son-in-law of the late Augustine Ogino and Consolata Ogolla.

He was brother to Vera Obonyo, Jimmy Imende and Christopher Imende: brother-in-law to Prof. Levi Obonyo and Elizabeth Wanjiru; Daniel Owino, Sarah Atieno, Leah Madiba and Belinda; uncle to Jason Imende, Geoffrey lrnende and Briella Imende; Lisa and Anita Obonyo; nephew to Joseph Imende (late),Thomas Imende (late), Renson Irnende, Floyce Ayieta (late), Elisheba, Selpha Imende, Asa Imende, Tabitha Imende, Washington Rakama (late), Susanna Udoto (late),-Betty Ndombi, Johnson Rakama, ephew Rakama, Linet Washika, Sande Rakama (late) and Stanley Rakama; cousin to Boaz Imende, Isaac Imende, Gilbert Udoto, Dr. Lawrence Ndombi, David Rakama,Tony Washika, Stella Rakama, Maureen Rakama, among others.

Meetings are held daily from 5:30 p.m. at Meladen Hotel, Chyulu Road, Upper Hill.

There will be a fundraising at All Saints Cathedral Church on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 5:30pm.

A memorial service will be held at Coptic Hospital on November 9, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

The burial is set for Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home in Kabula, Bungoma.
