MARY CHEYECH LOROT

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lay Leader, Mrs. Mary Cheyech Lorot which occurred on Sunday 21st June, 2020 after a short and brave battle with breast cancer. She was a retired teacher of Makutano Primary School, Kapenguria; and a Lay Leader of St. Paul’s A.C.K, Lityei.

Daughter of the late Isaiah Piro Kokita and the late Veronicah Cheptum Piro. Step-daughter of the late Ko-Kamzee, the late Ko- Cherop, and Ko-Chepchumba. Loving wife of Mr. Edward Mikes Lorot. Doting mother of Mercy, Irene, Abel, Druscilla, Balaam and Eli Lorot. Mother-in-law of Rogers Kiptim and Kiprotich Chemweno. Grandmother of Sharon, Kalya & Perur Kiptim; and Cheserek & Kimwetich Kiprotich. Sister of Canon Emily Menach, Simon Piro, Christopher Piro, Paul Piro, Mrs. Margaret Tiamale, the late David Piro, Mrs. Hellen Ritonyang, Sammy Piro among others. She was also a cousin, an aunty, sister-in-law and a friend to many.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital morgue on Friday 26th June, 2020 at 10:30 am for burial at her home in Lityei village, Kapenguria on Saturday 27th June,2020 at 10:00am.

2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
