MARY MUKHABALI AMBEYI

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Mary Mukhabali Ambeyi in Nairobi, Kenya on 6th November, 2023.

She was the loving wife of Amb. Ambeyi Ligabo and beloved mother of Loisina Ambeyi-Lubanga, Diana Ambeyi-Sims, Litiema Kayi Ambeyi, Ligabo Ambeyi, Inyama Ashivaga Ambeyi and Ngaira Ambeyi.

She was the daughter of the late Andrea Angweye Liyayi and the late Veronica Amukhoye Angweye.

Adored grandmother to Jasmine Ligabo, Sabina Ligabo, William Ligabo, James Ambeyi Sims,Anthony Sims, Kayla Litiema, Kendra Mahila Litiema and Keenan Tirop.

Mama Mary was the founder and Director of the United Nations Academy located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Daily prayers and meetings for burial arrangements are being held daily simultaneously at her home in Nairobi and lleho, Shinyalu sub-county, Kakamega County.

A harambee will be held in Nairobi on 14th November, at United Kenya Club from 5:00pm.

The burial will be held on Saturday, 18th November, 2023, at her home in Mkombelo/Ligabo junction – Ileho in Shinyalu Sub-County, Kakamega County.
