It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we, the family of the late Elias Mwangi Karania, announce the demise of Mary Njeri Karanja, well known as Mama Maziwa, formerly of Kenya Cooperative Cremeries, on 2nd November, 2021, at her home in Nairobi South C.

Wife of the late Elias Mwangi Karanja of Mweru, Mukurweni, Nyeri County. Daughter of the late Samson Gatukui and the late Ruth Wanjiru Gatukui of Kaharo, Mukurweini. Loving mother of Rebecca and (RTD Justice) GBM Kariuki, Peter Mugwongo and the late Jane Karanja, Ruth Muthoni and Gichuru Gitonga, the late Samson and Schola Gatukui, Jane and Peter McIntosh, Gladys Wamaitha and DP Kinyanjui, and Samuel Adijai Maina Karanja and Zena Ali. Sister to Duncan Kigotho, Gladwell Muthoni Wahome and Nancy Wanjiku Kiragu.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in South C, Sungura Road, off Ole Shapara Avenue next to Belleview Hospital, from 4.00pm daily.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday 11th November, 2021, at 11.00am,at St. Paul’s ACK Church, opposite the Moi Educational Centre – Nairobi West.

The cortege will leave the Montezuma Funeral Home – Thika Road Branch, Kabati, on Friday 12th November, 2021, at 8.00am, for a funeral service followed by burial at her home in Mweru Location, Mukurweini, Nyeri County.
