MARY WAMBUI WAMBUGU (WAGACHANJA)

With God’s humble acceptance we wish to announce the passing on of Mary Wambui Wambugu (Wagachanja) that occurred on Monday. 14th June, 2021, after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Ikua Muthanga and the late Jane Mumbi. Wife of Wambugu Gachanja. Mother of John Gachanja Wambugu (Delmonte, Thika). Mother-in-law of Margaret Nioki Gachanja (Thika Level 5 Hospital).

Sister of George Ndiritu Ikua, Ann Waniiru Kariuki, the late John Kamanja Ikua, James Maina Ikua, Wise Wangui Nyaga and Ann Nyawira Kanja. Grandmother of Joram Wambugu Gachanja, Patrick Wainaina Gachanja, Caroline Nyambura Wambugu and Stacy Walthira Wainaina. Great-grandmother of Ethan Gachanja Wambugu, Arthur Wainaina Wambugu, Tristan Ndungu Wambugu, Halley Njoki Wainaina and Dianna Waithera Wainaina. Aunt of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her son’s John Gachanja residence in Thika Landless Estate, for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 4:00pm.

The cortege will leave Bishop Okoye Funeral Home – Thika, on Saturday, 19th June, 2021, at 8:00am, followed by a funeral service and interment at her -home in Ithekahuno Village, Aguthi Location, Tetu Division in Nyeri County, starting at 10:00am.
