MARY WANGARI MUIGAI

We regret to announce the death of our beloved Mary Wangari Muigai of Gitwe Village, in Githunguri, Kiambu County, on 19th January 2022. She passed on after a short illness at Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Nairobi.

Wife to the late Mr. Jeremiah Kungu Muigai. Mother to Caroline Wambui, Angela Wanjiru, Henry Muigai, and John Muoria Kungu. Daughter to the late John Muoria Wathika and the late Serah Wanjiru Muoria, of Mob.

Daughter-in-law to the late Henry Muigai Muturi and the late Isabella Wanja Muigai, of Bahati, Nakuru. Mother-in-law to Chris Macharia, Florence VVambui, and Grace Kighenda.

Grandmother to Judy Wangari Ngure, Evelynn Wangari Ngure, Nella Wangari Muoria, Natalie Wamuyu Muoria, and Kega Kungu Muigai.

Sister to the late Joe Wathika, Ann Waitherero, Lucy Njoki, the late Francis Kariuki, the late Charles Ngaruiya, Elizabeth Wangui, and Margaret Nyambura. Sister-in-law to Minneh Wanjiru, the late Smith Muturi, Serah Njeri, James Kariuki, Teresia Wanjiku, Josphine Wanjiku, John Kamau, Loise Nyaguthii, Esther Thaara, Stephen Macharia Gichoya.

Family and friends will meet at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, on Tuesday, 25th January 2022, at 5:00 pm, for prayers.

The funeral service will be held at Gitwe P.C.E.A. Church in Githunguri on Thursday, 27th January 2022, at 10:30 am. She will be laid to rest at her home nearby. All Covid protocols will be observed.
