Mary Wangechi Mugo

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mary Wangechi Mugo, which occurred on 28th March 2020 after a short illness.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Mugo Murugami. Daughter of the late Fredrick Njogu and the late Grace Njeri Njogu. Daughter-in-law of the late David Kamau and the late Eunice Nyambura. Sister of the late Wanjiku, the late Chege, Gathoni, Mukuhi and Elizabeth. Sister-in-law of the late Kariuki and Penninah Wangari, the late Wangechi, the late Wanjiku, the late Wanjeri and Lucy Wachera. Mother of David Kamau, Francis Irungu (Njogu) and Gladys Wandiri, Lilian Catherine Nyambura and James Kariuki, Anthony Kariuki and Catherine Wangechi, Grace Mugo and Peter Kihara, Rachel Wanjiru, Lucy Wanjiku and Samuel Njuguna, Roseline Wanjiku, Peter Chege and Joyce Nyambura, John Mwangi and Rosetta Mutinda and the late James Wangewa. Grandmother of Wangechi, Joemark, Mercy, Alex, Maryanne, Ciru, Nyambura, Roy, Adrian, Jeremy, Denis, Muthoni, Gevan, Hope, Briana, Ivy,Angel, the late Mugo, Njuguna and Roque. Auntie, cousin, grandmother and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home along Thika Road on Friday, 3rd April 2020 at 8:00am.

The burial ceremony will be a family affair in line with the Government guidelines. It will be held at her home in Kiangunyi village, Kangema sub-county in Murang’a County.
