We regret to announce the demise of Mary Wanjiku Gathiaka of Thamanda Village, Muguga Jet Scheme, Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

Wife of the late Ibrahim Gathiaka Muthungu. Beloved daughter of the late Githiri Kiongo and the late Hannah Wambui Githiri. Mother of Tabitha Wanjiru Karanja of Mai-Mahiu, Hannah Wambui Njung’e, Grace Wairigu, Lucy Njeri of Bristol UK, Jane Nyokabi, Esther Wanjiru Mwaniki, Joseph Murigi Gathiaka, Rahab Nduta Kamau, Samuel Njoroge Gathiaka and Sarah Muthoni Thandi.

Mother-in-law of Peter Kanyugi Kiguathi, Nelson Njung’e Mburu, Francis Maina Wabita, Samuel Mwaniki Mwangi, Zak Kamau Ngugi, George Thandi Kaniaru, Grace Njeri Murigi, Agnes Njeri Njoroge, the late John Karanja Kamau and the late Godfrey Kanyori Karanja. A grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

The cortege will leave Thogoto PCEA Hospital Mortuary, on Tuesday 10th August, 2021. Funeral service and burial shall follow the same day at her home, Thamanda Village, Muguga Jet Scheme, Kikuyu, Kiambu County.
