MARY WANJIKU GATONYE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Wanjiku Gatonye on 16th May, 2021.

Wife of the late Simon Gatonye Ng’ang’a. Daughter of the late Kironyo Wa-kimwe and late Njoki Kironyo. Sister of Karugi Ngarama, Wamuhu Gicharu and the late Francis Kinyanjui. Mother to late Stephen Ng’ang’a, Jane Mwathi, Lucy Gachara, the late Crispus Kironyo, Andrew Ngugi (formerly of KICD), the late Alice Nyakairu, the late George Kiarie and Catherine Kiruri.

Mother-in-law of Kabawa Ng’ang’a, the late Francis Mwathi, George Gachara, Wambui Kironyo, GraceWanjiku Ngugi (State Department of Public Service) and Peter Kiruri.

Grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at their home, Kamuguga village, Kiambu County.

The cortege will leave Kikuyu Hospital on Friday 21st May, 2021 at 9.00am for the funeral service at PCEA Kamuguga Church, followed by an interment at her Kathuguga farm.
